John’s practice focuses on business and commerce with emphasis on fulfilling the needs of the people behind the business. “To be a successful business attorney you have to stay in touch with people’s needs and feelings – I see the person and the problem. I listen.” This philosophy has resulted in John’s respected standing with clients, judges and other professionals.

For more than 35 years, John’s practice has centered on business transactions, real estate transactions and personal estate planning. With an educational background in philosophy, economics and accounting, he finds creative solutions to difficult and complex problems.

Outside the office, John stays actively connected to his community. He is President of the Portage County Green Circle Board, a member and past President of the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point Foundation, and past President of numerous other community organizations, including the Community Foundation, Pacelli High School Foundation, Portage County Economic Development Corporation, and the Area Community Theater.

When he’s not in the office, you are likely to find him on the waters or in the woods of northern Wisconsin and Minnesota. He is an avid paddler, hiker and landscape photographer.
